Christine offers childbirth education classes and postpartum doula services for parents.

  • Christine offers group and private Birthing from Within classes that weave scientific knowledge and concrete coping techniques together with heart-centered, creative exploration to provide parents with authentic preparation for the transformative experience of birth.

    Classes are designed to provide a holistic exploration of the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of labor, birth, and the postpartum period.

    Under Christine's expert guidance, you will delve into various topics, including the stages of labor, the role of hormones and birth physiology, coping practices, labor and birth positions, hands-on support, partner support, interventions, strategies for dealing with unexpected surprises, and how to navigate decision-making during labor.

  • Postpartum doulas provide a variety of support during the first 12 weeks postpartum, including newborn care education, basic infant feeding, new-sibling integration, meal preparation, light housework, support with postpartum rest and recovery, and providing resources and referrals when needed.

Comfort & Coping for Labor & Birth, 7/14

We'll explore a variety of common physical and emotional coping skills for labor and birth including mindfulness and breathing techniques, hands-on support methods, and simple tools like heat, touch, and movement. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how these strategies can help reduce tension, and build confidence for the birthing process.

Positions for Labor & Birth, 7/7

In this two hour class, we’ll explore labor and birth positions not as a checklist to memorize, but as invitations to move, respond, and listen to your body’s wisdom.

We’ll explore optimal fetal positioning and review common upright, forward-leaning, side-lying, and supported rest positions, including how they may be helpful in different phases of labor. Through gentle movement and guided exploration, you’ll have space to notice what feels grounding, powerful, or restful in your own body.

In this class, we’ll explore many facets of preparation – physical, practical, emotional, relational –  that will help you navigate the postpartum journey ahead.

Birthing from Within Childbirth Series (August 2026)

This comprehensive 4-week series is designed to provide a holistic exploration of the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of labor, birth, and the postpartum period.

Under Christine's expert guidance, you will delve into various topics, including the stages of labor, the role of hormones and birth physiology, coping practices, labor and birth positions, hands-on support, partner support, interventions, strategies for dealing with unexpected surprises, and how to navigate decision-making during labor.

The instructor highly recommends taking this course at the end of your second trimester or at any time during your third trimester.
